CORE FEATURES

Auto-Discovery

You can manually enter information for thousands of assets over the course of weeks and months. Or, simply auto-discover it within an hour. RAMP DCIM’s powerful auto-discovery tool eliminates the need for error-prone data entry. Instead, it delivers fast and razor accurate details right down to the device level. Auto-discover a server in your data center? Expect more than just the manufacturer, model, serial numbers, and IP addresses. You will also get the configuration (processor, memory and disk drives), mapped connection from the server network card to the physical port on a switch or router, the installed software, operating system, service packs, and any running virtual machines. Find out why auto-discovery is essential.

IT Asset Monitoring

Monitor from the device level up. From server CPU and disk drive, to rack PDU and UPS, to cooling devices and environmental sensors. You can monitor power at the device, rack PDU, PDU, UPS, transfer switch and generator levels, and send alerts on abnormal conditions. Also, monitor cooling devices like chillers, CRAC, CRAH and in-row cooling. RAMP DCIM continuously analyzes the data and triggers alerts based on the health of your devices. This allows you to detect potential failover issues before they occur. The software supports IPMI, iLO, iDRAC, SSH, SNMP (v1, v2, and v3), Modbus, BACnet, WMI, WBEM, and vCenter.

Auto-Change Management

RAMP DCIM ensures any and every change is captured accurately to reduce the risk of downtime and outages. RAMP DCIM can recognize changes such as hardware configuration (memory added, for example), software (installed or removed), virtual machine movement, network cables moved to another location, and so on. Yes, you should run all of these changes through the change management system, but RAMP DCIM will catch those that aren’t logged and can also verify the accuracy of a change. If a network cable was to be moved from physical port E8 to port E12, for example, we can verify that the change was properly made. RAMP DCIM manages change for both physical and virtual devices.

AWS Cloud Instance Monitoring

Cloud Monitoring

The only DCIM software that allows you to monitor your public cloud instances in AWS and Google Cloud, along with your on-prem IT assets and workloads. This powerful feature eliminates the need to rely on using several software tools or platforms to track important information like which internal user owns a cloud instance or which instances are zombies.  Enjoy a single-pane-of-glass with rich data on your bare metal servers, virtual machines and public cloud instances. RAMP DCIM offers a complete picture for both the C-suite and data center managers to understand where to uncover efficiencies in energy and compute.

Software & OS Monitoring

Unused, lost or forgotten software assets are costing your organization money and placing you at risk of license violations. In fact, organizations in the United States spend $12.4 billion annually* on software that’s never utilized. With RAMP DCIM, you will never waste another penny on unused software. Track and monitor software/operating system (OS) licenses running on your devices and VMs. Know what versions need updating or which licenses are no longer needed. Managing software costs and maintaining compliance has never been easier.

Advance Search

Use Advance Search to help manage your power, cooling and space. Search for legacy servers consuming the most energy. Or, uncover zombie servers that are quietly draining power and taking up space. Advance Search makes it fast and easy for you to find the insight you need to reduce your data center costs. With Logical Groups, you can go further and calculate the cost of networking services, storage services, and the like. You can also quickly evaluate ‘what-if’ scenarios. If you are planning to do maintenance on a UPS, for example, you can learn which devices will be impacted during that maintenance period and plan accordingly. Similarly, you can review impact tables on network devices.

Capacity Planning

Never overspend on your IT needs again. Get immediate asset utilization metrics to better optimize your current capacity while making an informed decision on how to manage future requirements.
